Welcome to my DIY Blog

I thought it was about time that I begin a blog on my DIY projects as they become more and more involved.  We bought our first house in December 2011 in Alta Loma, CA.  It's a pretty large lot (8080 sq. ft.) considering modest sized house (1550 sq. ft.).  We wanted the inside turn of a cul-de-sac but instead we ended up getting an inside corner of a turn.  There is no one behind us so we don't have nosey neighbors.  Our lot is pie shaped but not odd shaped as you might expect from others.  It's a simple ranch style single story home with an open floor plan thanks to a few mods we made before we moved in.
